The application "VFR Map" respects your privacy, by not collecting personal data without your consent.
Location data is not mandatory, but it will severely limits the application functionalities.
Location data is used by the application to display speed, altitude, heading and compute navigation data such as ETE or ETA.
If you only use the application with Flight Simulator program, then Location is not necessary as the application connects to the simulator.
When the application "VFR Map" connects on the network to get necessary information, the application uses an IP address.
The application detects also if your phone or tablet is offline to improve your experience.
Usage of crash logs information could be provided in order to improve the product.
